JANUARY NEWS : STUDENT SHOUT‑OUT – OUR YEAR 7 NEURO DIVERSITY CHAMPIONS!

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a remarkable group of #TeamYear7 students who have shown courage, leadership and maturity!
A huge shout-out and big WELL DONE to our #NeuroDiversity #Champions: Harrison J, Evan S, Emilia B and Luther I!⭐🤩⭐
Supported by Miss Walsh, Trust Lead SENCO, these students have delivered assemblies across all #TeamRatton year groups this week, bravely sharing their experiences of #NeuroDiversity challenges since starting secondary school back in September. They spoke honestly about the challenges they’ve faced, how they’ve overcome hurdles, and their hopes to help educate and support their peers.
They are also working together to create a brand‑new Neuro Diversity Club, a space for students to build community, support one another and celebrate the strengths and individuality of neuro‑diverse learners across #TeamRatton. How amazing is that! ⭐🤩⭐
📢 Mr Peevers, Headteacher, said:
“I enjoyed visiting the assembly to hear from our Year 7 Neuro Diversity Champions today and listening to them outline the challenges they face at school, but also how they are beginning to overcome them. These assemblies have been a great example of our Ratton virtues of teamwork, effort and responsibility to name but a few! Well done to them all.”
We are incredibly proud of Harrison, Evan, Emilia and Luther, another big well done to you all – true ambassadors for kindness, empathy and inclusion at Ratton. Check out some of your ex/students / alumni Ocklynge Junior School – these guys are paving the way for further inclusivity across our trust community! #TeamOcklynge to #TeamRatton! #PROUD
