Ethics is a combination of PSHE and Religious Education. Both of these at Ratton are an integral part of our student curriculum.
Ethics is taught by a specialist team who are aware of the importance good quality PSHE and Religious Education play in young people’s development.
Education in British values is woven throughout the Ethics curriculum as well as being taught across the wider school curriculum.
RE is provided for all pupils, and is inclusive and broad minded. Parents do have the right to withdraw pupils from RE on the grounds that parents wish to deliver their own RE: if you wish to do this, make an appointment with the head teacher to discuss. The school does not support selective withdrawal from RE.
