OCTOBER NEWS : 'SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD' - RATTON SCHOOL STANDS UNITED!

#TeamRatton School stands united against #Racism!
Last Friday, #TeamRatton proudly took part in the national initiative Show Racism the Red Card campaign, an annual event that brings schools, organisations and communities together to stand against #Racism in all its forms.
Following pertinent assemblies recently (see previous post!), students and staff wore red by accessorizing usual school wear and placing symbolic red cards in their pockets, showing solidarity and a shared commitment to equality.🤩
This powerful national initiative uses the #RedCard, familiar in sport, as a symbol to call out racism and discrimination. It reminds us that racism has no place in our school, nor society. #TeamRatton stand united.🔴🔴🔴
At a time in history when standing together matters more than ever, our school community came together to send a clear message: we are united, we are inclusive and we are committed to change.🤩
As ever, we are proud of our students and staff for showing that standing up against racism is everyone’s #Responsibility and that together, we can build a future where everyone feels seen, heard, and safe!
A special mention and shout-out goes to our Ratton #BAME students, together with Mrs Smith (teacher), Miss Banks and other supporting staff, who were instrumental in this important school-based conversations and project. Well done to you all.🔴🔴🔴
Great work #TeamRatton! WATCH THIS SPACE for more important talks and explorations across our year groups in #Term2!
