END OF YEAR SCHOOL NEWS: BELLE TOUT CROWNED TERM 6 HOUSE CHAMPIONS!

As another fantastic school year drew to a close, there was one final reason for celebration at #TeamRatton, as Belle Tout House were crowned our #Term6 House Champions! πŸ†
After a term packed full of positive contributions, participation, achievement and house pride, #BelleTout came out on top, earning themselves some well-deserved #RattonRewards along the way.
And what better way to celebrate than with a trip to Tenpin Bowling, as well as a relaxing afternoon enjoying the sunshine on the school field, where the arrival of the ice cream van proved to be a particular highlight! πŸ¦β˜€οΈ
But the celebrations didn’t stop there…
As temperatures soared during the recent heatwave, members of the Belle Tout community came together for an after-school charity water balloon extravaganza, raising just over Β£100 for local #CharityChampions, one of our South Downs Learning Trust partner charities, YoungMinds. This incredibly important local charity supports the mental health and wellbeing of young people. A wonderful cause to raise money for!
What started as a friendly fundraising event quickly became a full-scale soak-fest, with water balloons flying in every direction and absolutely nobody staying dry for long!
Of course, there was plenty of healthy competition on display. In fact, some might argue that Mr Fenrir and Ms Bryden (Belle Tout House Leaders) became just a little too invested in proceedings…
When students thought they had the upper hand, Ms Bryden revealed her surprise tactical advantage – a water pistol that quickly changed the course of battle! πŸ”«πŸ’¦
Meanwhile, Mr Fenrir appeared determined to defend Belle Tout honour at all costs, proving that sometimes staff enjoy House events just as much as the students!
The afternoon was filled with laughter, teamwork, community spirit and a lot of very soggy participants.
While Belle Tout may have taken the title this term, we would like to congratulate all four of our #RattonHouses for their contributions throughout the year. The passion, friendly competition and sense of belonging that our House system creates is something truly special and plays a huge part in making #TeamRatton the school community it is today.
And finally…
As we look ahead to September, we can’t wait to welcome our new #TeamYear7 students into the Ratton community. One of the first exciting moments awaiting them will be discovering which House they’ll belong to – the community that will support, encourage and champion them throughout their next five years at Ratton.
Which House colours will they be wearing? They’ll find out very soon…
Congratulations once again, Belle Tout! πŸ†
